Dear HVS-members,

I am writing on behalf of the Royal Cape Yacht Club Commodore, Mr. Neil Gregory, to say a huge thank you for the beautiful gift that you presented to the Club on Wednesday 8th January at the Cape2Rio farewell cocktail party. The picture is very special and will be mounted on the wall in the Club this week alongside other Cape 2 Rio pictures. The books have been placed on our library. Thank you. This has been very well received and is much appreciated.

I think I speak for all of us here at the Club when I say how impressive and interesting it was to hear the history of your Clubs involvement with Cape2Rio race and your Club’s commitment to invest in an offshore program for the youth. It was such a pleasure having all the Haspa Hamburg crew, friends and associates around the Club during the build up to the start, you can certainly be proud of the chosen crew.

I might add that is it so pleasing to see the continued strong relationship between our two great Clubs.

We look forward to welcoming your members here at Royal Cape at any time, but especially look forward to welcoming the next crew for HVS on the next edition of Cape2Rio. I hope your enjoying as much as we are, following the progress of our boats on the tracker.
